Department of Aerospace Hygiene and Health Service

Welcome to the department of aerospace hygiene and health service. We are responsible for teaching, medical treatment and scientific research in the following three subjects: aviation nutritional and food hygiene, hyperbaric oxygen medicine and aerospace health service. We are a community of experienced teachers troop including three Master advisors. We accept postgraduate students of master degree in the above subjects.

The subject of aviation nutritional and food hygiene is the important content of aerospace hygiene. Rational nutrition can increase the pilots’ body constitution and decrease the rate of disease. Meanwhileit can raise flying capacity,  prolong flying career and ensure flight safety. The research directions include the following: 1.nutritional requirement of pilots and paratroopers. 2. anti-fatigue effect of food antioxidant. 3. the relation between lipid hypoxia and re-ventilation and antioxidant.

Hyperbaric oxygen medicine is a part of aerospace medicine. Hyperbaric oxygen chamber can be used for teaching, researching and medical treatment. We have two monoplace chambers, one polyplace chamber and one animal chamber. We are mainly responsible for the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as for continuing education. We also assume the responsibility of hyperbaric oxygen medical treatment for patients from three affiliated hospitals of our university. As the head unit of Shaanxi medicine association hyperbaric oxygen medicine branch, we should give advanced lecture and doctor continuing training each year. The research directions include the following: 1. effect of hyperbaric oxygen on acute focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. 2. effect and mechanism of NO in oxygen convulsion.
